Our Deepest Condolences
With sorrow and prayerful hearts, we join the people of Norway in mourning the passing of a beloved King — His Majesty King Harald V (1937–2026) — a life given, for thirty-five years, to the service of this nation that has become our home.
Memorial Prayer
The day after the King’s passing, a memorial prayer was offered at the end of the Holy Qurbana on Saturday, 29 August 2026, led by our vicar, Rev. Fr. Eldhose Vattaparambil. The parish gathered before the King’s portrait with candles and incense, commending his soul to the mercy of God.
May the Lord grant him rest, and comfort Her Majesty Queen Sonja and the Royal Family.
May His Memory Be Eternal
We continue to remember King Harald in our prayers, and we pray for His Majesty King Haakon as he takes up the service his father carried so faithfully.
